Here goes!

So I thought about the first post for my blog and what better than a few introductory questions (82 to be exact). Hopefully (if anyone is reading that doesn't know me) it will give you a better idea of who I am and the kinds of things I like!

2.       Do you ever wish you were someone else?
Sometimes I wish I was Beyonce, she’s such a diva but seems so down to earth. I think sometimes when I go out, I do think I’m Beyonce, let’s just say it burns some calories!
3.       What is your entire name?
Sarah Kate Powell.
4.       How old are you?
20 years young!
5.       Age you get mistaken for:
I get told I look younger than 20, I hope this continues as I grow up!
6.       Your zodiac/horoscope and if you think it fits your personality:
Aquarius – I don’t really know what it says about my personality, I don’t read my horoscope often at all.
7.       What did you do on your last birthday?
Oh gosh, it was only last month and I can’t remember! Hmm… I spent the day with my boyfriend; he came to uni to visit me. We went to Starcity in Birmingham and played mini golf, went to the cinema, an American diner, McDonalds and TGI’s. That was a good day!
8.       What is one thing you would like to accomplish before your next birthday?
I’d like to save enough money to go on a holiday.
9.       What is your hair colour?
Dark brown, but a few days ago I dip-dyed it so now the ends are lighter (only a tad late jumping on the bandwagon!)
10.   What is your eye colour?
They are brown but sometimes I can see amber and green in there too!
11.   If you could change your eye colour, would you?
No, they match my hair! 
12.   Do you wear contacts/glasses?
Yes both! I only started wearing contacts last year because I was a little worried about them getting lost in my eyes! (I’m forever a worrier).
13.   Your opinion about your body and how comfortable you are with it:
Shake what your momma gave ya’!
14.   Say 2 facts about your body:
I’m 5ft 6ish & I have double jointed little fingers...
15.   Do you have any tattoos?
No, I’m too much of a scaredy cat for that!
16.   Do you have any piercings?
My ears and tragus.
17.   Left or right handed?
Right! This is weird because I was thinking yesterday how we choose which hand to start writing with… no idea why this came into my head.
18.   Do you drink?
Only when I’m going out, I don’t really like it with meals as I gulp down drink with my food!
19.   Do you smoke?
No, I have tried a cigar because I’ve been on holiday to Cuba with my family, but I’d never smoke cigarettes.
20.   Do you have any pets?
I have a mad black Labrador called Tilly, she’s 3 this year.
21.   Where do you work?
I don’t at the moment but I worked at New Look for 3 years, and in June I start a marketing placement at the Argos head office.
22.   Something you are working on right now:
Revision notes for summer exams!
23.   Do you have any “rules” about food?
Don’t eat it if it’s hairy or if I’ve found a hair in it, it freaks me out a bit!
24.   Where are you from?
I was born in Wolverhampton but I’ve lived the majority of my life in Telford, Shropshire (the first iron bridge was built here #factabouttelford)
25.   What do you think you’re really bad at?
Definitely mental arithmetic!
26.   What talent do you wish you’d been born with?
Being insanely flexible so that I could do gymnastics and be better at dance!
27.   Are you a bad person?
I don’t think so; I hope others would say the same!
28.   Say 3 facts about your personality:
I’m bubbly, a little clumsy and am sometimes quite quiet when I meet new people (but once I get going you probably won’t shut me up).
29.   What is your ideal bed? Why?
I used to want a water bed, but the bed I have now is incredible, it has springs and a foam layer so the best of both worlds!
30.   Do you sleep with a stuffed toy?
No but I used to have a stuffed Penguin that went everywhere with me.
31.   What do you think about the most?
Probably what I need to do!
32.   Share 2 habits:
I usually watch family guy before I go to sleep & I take all the fat off meat before I eat it.
33.   What you want to be when you “get older”?
Rich!
34.   What are your career goals?
I’d like to open my own dance school one day, but in the meantime a good marketing position in the consumer goods industry will suffice!
35.   Is your life anything like it was two years ago?
Not at all! Each year seems to get busier and more complicated! They do seem to all bring bad news, hopefully next year will look up for my family.
36.   Do you have any phobias?
Hair in my food, or loose hairs that I don’t know whose head they are from; just think it’s gross!
37.   Are you allergic to anything? If so, what?
Malaria tablets… unfortunately I only discovered this after a two week holiday in the Dominican Republic, where I took them religiously… needless to say I looked like I had some sort of measles.
38.   Ever broken any bones?
No, touch wood! Swear I have broken my toes after stubbing them before though!
39.   A random fact about yourself:
I have been in the Disney parade in Florida – me and my sister were picked by Mary Poppins to dance along (also a claim to fame).
40.   Share something about yourself others might think is weird:
I can’t remember the last time I had a bath… (I shower instead, don’t worry)
41.   Do you have any pictures on your Facebook?
I think I have 2000 something including tagged photos because I’ve had the account for 7 years!
42.   Describe yourself in one word/sentence:
I like to have fun and make the most of my free time (although I’ve found this is hard to do when you are doing a degree!), I live by certain morals and learn from mistakes along the way.
43.   A quote you try to live by:
Everything happens for a reason.
44.   What is your favourite thing to do?
I love dancing, socialising, relaxing on the sofa, cuddling, eating, laughing, I like to do a lot of things...
45.   What’s your favourite colour?
Coral.
46.   What’s your favourite band/singer?
Beyoncé, without a doubt.
47.   What’s your favourite movie?
Mrs Doubtfire was always my favourite movie as a child and it still makes me laugh now so I guess it’s the same! I also love The Help, if you haven’t seen it it’s definitely a must-see!
48.   What are your favourite books?
Harry Potter! Although, I cheated and watched the first few movies then only read the last couple of books, one day I aim to read them all in order, it’s just finding the time!
49.   What is your favourite type of food?
I like a lot of food, I’m not fussy!
50.   Your favourite ice cream?
Ben & Jerrys half baked – incredible!
51.   What’s your favourite animal?
I like giraffes because I think they are pretty, but dogs are a man’s best friend so I can’t really compare!
52.   Dogs or cats?
Dogs. Cats are too unpredictable and have a scary stare.
53.   Describe your favourite texture:
I love walking on sand barefoot, I find it relaxing. Once I gave my boyfriend a foot massage on the beach with sand (it was my good deed for the day)… I am still waiting for mine in return. I think I will be waiting a long time.
54.   What is your favourite flower?
Lilies. They are pretty and can fill a room with their scent; the perfect flower.
55.   What’s your favourite scent? And on the opposite sex?
A long term favourite is Estee Lauder ‘Sensuous’, but at the moment I like ‘Million’ by Paco Rabanne.
For guys I like Diesel ‘Fuel for Life’, I bought it for my boyfriend as a present once and might get it for him again I liked it so much.
56.   What is your favourite season?
I love summer because it automatically gives everyone a happiness boost, plus I think there’s a wider choice of clothes at summertime! But don’t get me wrong, I do love the feeling if being inside a warm house on a cold winter night.
57.   What are the top five places you wish you could go before you die?
Thailand, China, Australia, the Maldives & Jamaica (there are loads more and I’d like to go back to places that I’ve already visited).
58.   What are two things you can’t live without and why?
Other than the obvious things…
A hairbrush – I have really long hair, it’s about half way down my back, I can leave it down for about half an hour and it gets tangled! I love the tangle teaser it’s the quickest brush to get the knots out with and its pain free!
A nail file – I hate hate hate having a catchy nail! In high school I was known for always having a nail file, without fail!
59.   What’s your favourite television show?
I do enjoy watching soaps, although I don’t have time to watch them every day, Corrie and Eastenders are the best in my eyes! I also like 90210 and talent shows too.
60.   Favourite place to shop at?
I like New Look, Primark, H&M, Topshop, Forever 21, basically most high street shops! I don’t shop designer as I have never got the money to, so I just have to drool over those items!
61.   Are you more like your mom or your dad?
In terms of appearance I think I look more like my Dad, he has dark features, whereas my Mum has fairer hair and skin.
62.   Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I’m the middle child! I have an older sister (Emma), she’s 24 and a younger brother (Ross a.k.a YouGotPowelled), he’s 17.
63.   Are you going out of town soon?
Well I am going back to university next week because we are off for Easter at the moment, then in June I am moving to Milton Keynes for a placement year.
64.   Where would you like to live?
Somewhere sunny and carefree!
65.   What would your dream house be like?
Spacious and modern, but still homely.
66.   The last person you hugged?
My mum, I realised recently that I don’t hug her enough!
67.   Do you believe in love at first sight?
I think this would be the case with a couple somewhere, so probably!
68.   Are you in a relationship?
Yes, we have been together for 3 years.
69.   Do you ever want to get married?
One day!
70.   How often do you listen to music?
Every day, whether it’s just to get ready to or whilst I do work, or when I get ready for bed, I listen to music every day.
71.   What kind of music you like?
Pop/ chart music, RnB, cheesy music!
72.   Do you like to dance?
Dancing is one of my passions. I think it’s the only form of exercise I actually enjoy and I think it’s good for de-stressing! My favourite type of dance is tap.
73.   Share a song that takes you to a certain memory in the past:
Red by Daniel Merriweather reminds me of when me and Elliot started going out, we used to blast it out in his little red car and sing our hearts out!
74.   A book you want to read/have recently read:
The last books I read were the 50 shades set! I never did finish reading the last one though!
75.   Last movie you just watched:
Currently watching American Pie: The Reunion.
76.   Do you like watching what type of movies?
I like chick flicks and romcoms. I do like the odd action movie… when I don’t get my way I’m usually pleasantly surprised!
77.   You’re given £10,000…under one condition: you cannot keep the money for yourself. Who would you give it to?
I’d given half to Cancer Research and half to Severn Hospice as they are both close to my heart.
78.   If you were the prime minister, what would you do?
Sort out the benefit scheme! There are definitely some flaws in there! And taxes aswell, don’t get me started!
79.   Are you a procrastinator or do you get things done early?
Definitely a procrastinator! I get things done quicker if the deadline is looming!
80.   Something that you’re proud of?
Surviving bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh awards – I don’t consider myself an outdoors girl!
81.   What was something you used to enjoy, but was ruined for you? What’s the story behind that?
I used to enjoy rum & coke, until on holiday in Cuba (home of Havana Club rum) I enjoyed it a little too much…
82.   What’s something that scares you about the future?
Having a baby, not sure whether watching ‘One Born Every Minute’ has been helpful or not…

I hope that has given you a good insight into the life of Sarah and what I enjoy! 82 questions was quiteee a lot, but if there's anything that you think the quiz has missed then just leave a comment! It was quite good to think about things from the past, so if you're bored then give it a go!

I'm starting my blog by just posting things that I think about, there are no regular posts as of yet but I hope to start regular things in the future, like reviews or favourites...
